Ministry Highlight (Food Bank)

Red Willow Community Church is dedicated to making our community a better place and to represent Jesus to those in our community. Over the years, one of our ministries has been partnering with the St. Albert Food Bank. Each fall, we host the Food Bank Drive to collect much needed supplies. However, there are still significant needs throughout the year.

The St. Albert Food Bank is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to provide emergency nutritional support to the St. Albert community. They assist disadvantaged residents to reach or return to a state of independence, personal safety and improved quality of life and empowerment.

There is a large box in the main entrance way of RWCC in which we collect non-perishable food items for the St. Albert Food Bank year round. We encourage everyone to bring an item or two each week to deposit it in this box. The following is a list of items that the Food Bank runs short on, on a regular basis:

  • flour
  • canned tomatoes
  • sugar
  • salt
  • oatmeal & instant breakfast oatmeal
  • side kicks
  • canned milk/powdered milk
  • hamburger helper
  • coffee
  • fruit cups/pudding cups
  • tea
  • canned vegetables
  • canned soups & dry soup cups
  • canned fruit
  • baby formula
  • diapers (all sizes)
  • personal care items
  • jam & peanut butter
  • granola bars
  • kraft dinner
  • tomato paste
  • pancake mix & syrup
  • pasta sauce
  • crackers

Thank you for your continued support.
