Message from Marian

Greetings Church Family,

I hope your week thus far has been a productive and dynamic one both physically and spiritually.  Here in the office, it’s been quite busy and I’m already looking forward to Sabbath rest and fellowship. I can’t wait to see all of you this weekend when Pastor Harrison will speak about losing ourselves to find the life God intended us to live in his sermon, Lose Yourself.  Come prepared for praise, worship, and fellowship this weekend. And talking about praise, I am always so blessed when our Youth Praise Team leads us in worship as they will be doing this Sabbath.

Refreshments will not be served after the worship service this week. But you won’t want to miss out on the scrumptious food served at our monthly Breakfast at Church. Join us for great food and fellowship from 9:00am-10:00am followed by Bible study in the Fireside Room. Bring your family and friends! Our Breakfast at Church days are also known as Take Them Home Sabbaths where we feed you for breakfast and then you feed visitors and friends for lunch. Plan now to invite someone home for lunch to share a meal, fellowship and blessings. And if you are unable to host some family and friends for lunch this weekend, our next Breakfast at Church/Take Them Home Sabbath is February 17.

As we transition from 2017 into 2018, I will be issuing tax receipts for tithes and offerings that were made before December 31. If your address has changed or will be changing, please be sure to let me know. These receipts will be issued and placed in your church mailbox for Sabbath, February 10. If you are a regular attendee and don’t have a church mailbox yet, just let me know and I’ll be sure to get you set up with one.

The prayer and encouragement ministries at RWCC are two very important ones. If you are in need of prayer or would like to be added to the prayer chain, please email Donna Kutzner (wildon@albertacom.com). Likewise, if you are aware of anyone that is in need of encouragement, please contact On Marques (ona560@gmail.com) or Michelle Solheiro (michelle.sevcik31@gmail.com).

We have a number of events on the horizon that I would like to bring to your attention.

The Journey to Healthy Eating ministry is offering a 3-week challenge for anyone wanting to learn more about eating plant-based whole foods. You have a choice of meeting days and times, Thursdays from 7-9pm or Sundays from 1-3pm. Meal plans will be provided with registration. For start dates and registration information, check out the Events section of our webpage.

Then on February 3 following the worship service we will be hosting a special presentation by the Van Ministry run by Tracey Boller, called My Journey. Finger Food Potluck will occur in the Fellowship Hall, but for those attending the presentation, a light lunch will be provided in the Conference Room.

Until next week. . .

Blessings,
